Yuriko Takemoto

The 26-year-old Japanese violinist Yuriko Takemoto, born in Kanagawa, Japan, has won several competitions, including Japan’s national competition. After studying at the Tokyo University of the Arts, she began her studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg. She is also regularly invited as a guest at music festivals such as the Zermatt Music Festival and the Verbier Music Festival.

In 2024, she was supported by the Yamaha Music Foundation in Japan, and she performs on an instrument by Andreas Guarnerius. She gained orchestral experience as an academist with the Münchner Philharmoniker, and she is currently part of the first violins on a temporary contract.
