Trio Ridente

Trio Ridente are Merel Wentink (mezzo soprano), Meike Wijma (soprano) and Julia Hoorman (piano). During their study years these three conservatoire students were looking for new ways to present their repertoire. They have a large repertoire of various classical songs and duets by composers such as Schumann, Brahms but also Beriot and Weill. They combine their music theatre and narrative to entice the audience into the world of their song repertoire. This way they attempt to make the classical song accessible for a large audience. 

In 2017 and 2018 they toured with their praised theatrical song recital "Can I have an A?". Besides their theatre work they also perform many recital concerts.
