Teun van Doorn

My name is Teun van Doorn. When I was six years old, I fell in love with the accordion through my aunt, but since the instrument was still a bit too heavy for me, I started playing the piano instead. I ended up liking it even more than the accordion. Since then—so for eleven years now—I have been taking weekly piano lessons. I started taking lessons with Andrea Seidel, and I now study with Frans Douwe Slot. In addition to concerts, festivals, and masterclasses, this year I participated in the Princess Christina Competition for the third time, once again making it to the semi-finals. In the future, I plan to attend the conservatory in Utrecht or Amsterdam, for which I will audition next season.
