Tadas Celiauskas
Tadas is a musician from Lithuania. His all- around musical journey began when as a toddler he heard classical radio in his bedroom and kept asking his parents to leave it on every night while he goes to sleep. His self- taught multi- instrumentalist father proposed him to play clarinet, saxophone, accordion but none of these instruments suited him. Eventually as a teenager Tadas picked up bass guitar due the inspiration of Paul McCartney and The Beatles. With various bands he surfed through Rock, Pop, Hard Rock, Country, and jazz music until at age 15 he touched the contrabass for the first time. Afterwards Tadas entered Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire in Klaipėda (High school for musicians) where he decided to go for the classical double bass studies. Today Tadas is a fourth year Bachelor student of the Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, studying with Sorin Orcinschi. In the past few years, he had masterclasses with double bass legends such as Wolfgang Güttler and Catalin Rotaru and finished internship with the Noord Nederlands Orkest in 2022/2023 season.
