Skazka Kwartet

The Skazka Kwartet consists of of Anna Steenhuis and Lena ter Schegget (violin), Lisa Eggen (viola) and Emma Besselaar (cello). Skazka (скáзка) is the Russian word for story or fairytale. This young quartet (formed in 2020) has already produced its own family concert ‘Ludwig and the princess’, supported by the city of Utrecht, and performed for Entrée, the Concertgebouw’s youth association. Future engagements include the Delft String Festival 2021 and the IN DOORS chamber music festival 2022. Since October 2020 they have been studying at the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA), mentored by artistic director Marc Danel. The four young, upcoming musicians studied at the conservatoires of Amsterdam, Utrecht, Zürich, Vienna and London and have all earned their spurs in the music world. In the summer of 2020 they decided to unite their love of chamber music in the Skazka Kwartet. www.skazkakwartet.nl
