Sarah Hahn

Sarah Hahn was born in 1997 in Tübingen. She began playing the cello at the age of five and successfully participated several times in the renowned competition "Jugend musiziert" in the following years. From March 2016 to July 2017, she studied at the HMDK Stuttgart with Alexandre Foster, from 2017 to 2022 with Prof. Tristan Cornut, and since 2023 in the class of Prof. Conradin Brotbek. In 2022–2023, she spent an Erasmus year at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she studied with Prof. Raphaël Pidoux.

She has taken masterclasses with Georg Faust, Jakob Spahn, Peter Bruns, Gustav Rivinius, and Conradin Brotbek. Additionally, she participated in the academies of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival (2018), Moritzburg Festival (2022), and the Zermatt Festival (2023 and 2024). At the latter, she performed in the opening concert together with Julian Rachlin, Claudio Bohorquez, and musicians from the Berliner Philharmoniker.

In the 2022/23 season, Sarah held a temporary position with the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe. She regularly performs with various orchestras in southern Germany and is active in several chamber music ensembles.
