Roele Kok

Roele Kok studied piano at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen with Paul Komen. He also started his vocal education at the Prince Claus Conservatoire with Anneloes Volmer, Marion van den Akker and Hanneke de Wit. He is currently coached by Marcel Boone. He took masterclasses with Claron McFadden, Marcel Rijans, Rian de Waal and Margreet Honig. He also followed Lied accompaniement classes with Eelko Moolenaar and Marien van Nieukerken.
Roele continued his studies at the Artez Conservatoire with Marien van Nieukerken where he studied piano, lied accompaniement and voice.

Roele is active as vocal coach, pianist at masterclasses and is working for the chamber music series of the Noord Nederlands Orkest. He also works at the Nederlandse Bach Academie, Consensus Vocalis and the choir of the Nationale Opera. He made his opera debut in 2014 as Tonio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci. His first choir composition was performed and published in 2016, a cycle on Frisian poems.
