Noëlle Drost

Noëlle Drost (1999) recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with distinction, described as 'being an exquisite exceptional artist on all aspects, illuminating herself and us', and she has won several awards including at the Princess Christina Competition and the International Student Lied Duo Competition. As a soloist, she has collaborated with ensembles such as the Orchestra of the 18th Century, the North Netherlands Orchestra, and the Jeune Orchestre Baroque Européen.

In the realm of opera, she performed the title role in the premiere of J.C. Bach's opera 'Carattaco' and appeared as Sesto in the production 'Cesare e Cleopatra' by the Dutch National Opera Academy. She also portrayed the role of Euridice in Glück's 'Orphée et Euridice' and sang the title role in Monteverdi's 'L’incoronazione di Poppea' in Saluzzo, Italy. In 2024, she will perform the title role in John Blow's 'Venus and Adonis' with the Jeune Orchestre Baroque Européen in Southern France and the role of Idamante in Mozart’s 'Idomeneo' in Berlin.

Currently, Noëlle is pursuing her master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik 'Hanns Eisler' in Berlin under the tutelage of Christine Schäfer and Anna Korondi. Previously, she studied at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Rita Dams and Noa Frenkel. Besides Lied and Opera, Noëlle has a special love for Early Music.
