Moshe Hammer
In his youth Moshe Hammer studied in Israel with Ilona Feher and won many awards. He continued his study with Ivan Galamian, Jascha Heifetz and Yehudi Menuhin. He was concert master at the Calgary Philharmonic and played with many orchestras in North America en Europe and many ensembles such as the Da Camera Ensemble and the Canadian Chamber Ensemble. He is the founder of the Hammer Band, to educate underpriviledged children. Hammer was a professor at the University of New York and has made a large number of recordings. Nowadays he gives a lot of masterclasses and is a popular solo player.
