Mirjanne Horlings
Mirjanne (2002) is a versatile violist with a passion for ensemble playing.
From 2018, Mirjanne studied with Christophe Weidmann in the Young Talent Class at the Prins Claus Conservatorium, and in 2023, she graduated there. Currently, she is studying with Pierre-Henri Xuereb, with whom she will begin her master's degree at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris in September 2024. She has received masterclasses from, among others, Francien Schatborn, Pedro Saglimbeni Muñoz, and the Alma Quartet.
She has a passion for both chamber music and playing in orchestras. In 2023, she reached the finals of the Chamber Music Competition Gelre with the Muze Quartet. She has served as a section leader in ensembles such as the National Youth Orchestra and regularly substitutes in the Noord Nederlands Orkest. Additionally, she is active in organizing concerts to make classical music accessible to new audiences.
