MengHan Wu

MengHan (Mo) is a Taiwanese baroque violinist currently residing in Amsterdam. He has been actively involved in performing baroque music in the Netherlands.

In 2022, he started his own project, "Seven Nights," which portrays musical and poetic impressions of nights, dreams, and emotions. In 2023, Mo was invited by the European Hanseatic Ensemble to join their tour around northern Germany. As part of the Fringe of the Utrecht Early Music Festival, Mo performed with the "H"Eros ensemble, performing 17th-century French music, specifically "air de cour." Additionally, Mo serves as the violinist in Ensemble Suspirium. Presently, the group is dedicated to exploring 18th-century Latin-American Baroque music, focusing on the Codex Trujillo.

In January 2024, Mo was invited to participate in the art exhibition "Keep Opening Doors" at the National Human Rights Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. His performance is inspired by and seeks to rediscover forgotten poems from the dictatorship era. Having obtained a Master’s degree in violin performance from the University of Oklahoma, USA, Mo discovered his passion for historically informed performance.

Currently, he is a master student studying baroque violin with Antoinette Lohmann at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
