Matthias Emmerink
Matthias Emmerink (1993) started his violin lessons with Rita Rouw. He is currently in his 3rd year at the Prince Claus Conservatoire where he studies with Kati Sebestyèn.
Matthias was member of the Haydn Youth String Orchestra from 2008 until 2012, the last year as concert master. He toured in France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Sweden and Latvia.
Matthias took part of numerous summer courses and masterclasses in The Netherlands and abroad: the Peter de Grote festival, the Acedémie Musicale de Morges in Swiss and the International Music Masterclasses in Tata, Hungary.
In 2012 he won, with José Eduardo Canto Arce, the 2nd prize at the Prinses Christina Competition. Besides this he also won the Gaudeamus music week prize, the Donemus prize and the prize for best ensemble.
