Mara Oosterbaan

Mara studied at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen and continued her studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, with Ilona Sie Dhian Ho and Philippe Graffin. During her studies she received masterclasses from Ivry Gitlis, Mauricio Fuks, Roland Daugareil and many others. Mara performed in many chamber music ensembles and in orchestras such as the National Youth Orchesta and the Royal Conservatoire Orchestra. She worked as remplacent in orchestras such as the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Residentie Orchestra, the Northern Netherlands Orchestra and Sinfonia Rotterdam. Since 2014 Mara is member of the Residentie Orchestra, besides performing in many chamber music ensembles, both on regular and baroque violin.
