Malon Maat

Malon studied bugle at the ArtEZ Conservatoire in Zwolle. After a year she decided to switch to trumpet and stadter her studies at the Prince Claus Conservatoire with Bob Koertshuis. In 2019 she graduated her bachelor studies with a 9. Se is currently doing her master studies with Prof. Laura Vukobratovic at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen. She received masterclasses from Willem van der Vliet, Roy Poper, Marco Blaauw, Jon Lewis, Laura Vukobratovic and Roman Rindberger.

Since 2017 Malon works for the Dutch National Youth Orchestra and she also has positions as a trumpet teacher at the Stichting Muziekonderwijs Grootegast, and as musician at the Koninklijke Militaire Kapel 'Johan Willem Friso'. Malon works regularly with the Gelders Orkest. She is a private trumpet teacher and works for various musical societies.
