Luzia Ernst & Mikhail Kambarov

The young Lied-duo, consisting of Luzia Ernst and Mikhail Kambarov, met during their studies at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar. There, the mezzo-soprano is currently studying for a Bachelor of Voice Performance and the pianist Mikhail Kambarov for a Bachelor of Music. In close collaboration with the Lied professor Thomas Steinhöfel, the duo recognised their passion for the Lied genre and deepened this interest through master classes with Michael Dussek and Richard Stokes, among others. In addition, the two musicians are scholarship holders at Live Music Now Weimar eV. and regularly perform at various venues in Weimar and the surrounding area.

The duo were selected for the final of the International Student LiedDuo Competition in 2022, where they won the Student Jury award.
