Lisa Eggen

Lisa Eggen (1994) studied at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam with Nobuko Imai and Francien Schatborn. Before that she studied at the Conservatoire in Rotterdam with Karin Dolman.

Lisa won a number of awards at various occasions, such as the Prinses Christina Concours, the Nationaal Concours van Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland and the Labberté-Hoedemaker Award at the Peter de Grote Festival. In 2015 she won an award at the Nationaal Altvioolconcours.

In 2014 she performed as a soloist with the Orchest-Vereeniging Dordrecht in The Netherlands and Germany. She also performed on Dutch Radio 4 in the Spiegelzaal of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Lisa is active as chamber musician with the Dostojevski Quartet and together with pianist Michel Xie. She toured in the United States and Canada with Elvire Beekhuizen and Sebastiaan van Bavel for the Prinses Christina Concours. She also performed in chamber music concerts with musicians such as Emmy Verhey and the DoelenKwartet.

She also has experience with performing with orchestras such as the Concerto Grosso Ensemble, Nederlands Strijkersgilde, JeugdOrkest Nederland and the European Union Youth Orchestra. She travelled all over the world with these orchestras. She also regularly works for the Noord Nederlands Orkest and the Asko|Schönberg.

Lisa plays on a viola by Jan van der Elst, which was granted to her by the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
