Laia López
Laia López is a Catalan soprano based in The Netherlands. In 2019 she started studying with Hanneke de Wit at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. She took part in
masterclasses from Margreet Honig, Paul McNamara, Maarten Koningsberger, Nico van der Meel, Ofèlia Sala and Jordi Domènech. She performed at the Grachtenfestival with Performing Opera 2022. She played the role of Suor Dolcina in “Suor Angelica” by Puccini with Nootstroom conducted by Arnaud Oosterbaan, Belinda from “Dido and Aeneas” with Luthers Bach Ensemble, Pamina and Papagena from “Die Zauberflöte” and Susanna in the first act of “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the festival Opera aan Zee in Noordwijk. Amongst others, she also performed as a soloist for “Mozart Requiem” and “Missa Cellensis” by Haydn with Toonkunstkoor Bekker conducted by Geert-Jan van Beijeren, the “Dixit Dominus” by Handel and “Gloria” by Vivaldi with the Luthers Bach Ensemble conducted by Tymen-Jan Bronda, “Brahms Requiem” conducted by Karel Stegeman, “Fauré Requiem” with Concertkoorkov conducted by André Cats and “Membra jesu nostri” by Buxtehude with Concertkoor Gloria Deo conducted by Jeroen Helder.
