Judith van Wanroij

Dutch soprano Judith van Wanroij finished her Vocal studies at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam with Margreet Honig. In 2003 she won the First prize at the vocal competition ‘Erna Spoorenberg Vocalisten Presentatie'. She continued her studies at the New Opera Academy of Amsterdam in 2004. Judith regularly performes as solo singer in The Netherlands and abroad and worked with many well known directors such as Frans Brüggen, Edo de Waart, Kenneth Weiss, Christophe Rousset, Jaap van Zweden and Skip Sempé. 
She performed many roles in operas such as Drusilla in 'L'incoronazione di Poppea' by Monteverdi, Belinda in 'Dido and Aeneas' by Purcell, Rossweisse in 'Die Walküre' by Wagner, Echo in 'Ariadne auf Naxos' by Strauss, Despina in 'Così fan Tutte' by Mozat and many more. Besides opera Judith is also active in chamber music.
