Joseph Puglia
Joseph Puglia studied at the Juilliard School of Music with Robert and Nicholas Mann. He continued his studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He took masterclasses with Anner Bijlsma, Thomas Riebl, and members of the Alban Berg, Hagen, Juilliard, and Guarneri string quartets. Joseph performed in many famous concert halls such as the Amsterdamse Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center (New York), Queen Elizabeth Hall (Londen), Cite de la Musique, Salle Pleyel (Paris) and in Australie at the Melbourne International Arts Festival.
Joseph is a very much experienced soloist with various orchestras and is also very active as chamber musician. He is a big advocate of modern music, and is concert master at the Asko|Schoenberg Ensemble. He starred in various world premieres and worked with composers such as John Adams, Peter Eotvos, Heinz Holliger, Oliver Knussen and Louis Andriessen.
Joseph is violin teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
