Jorian van Nee
Jorian studies piano at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam with Frank Peters. His previous teachers are David Kuyken at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam, Henk Ekkel at the Adacemie Muzikaal Talent, Huub de Leeuw and Kirsten van Os. He received masterclasses by pianists such as Igor Roma, Ronald Brautigam and Jan Wijn. He also followed composition courses with Willem Jets.
Jorian performs regularly, both solo as well as with ensembles. He performed with orchestras such as the Residentie Orkert and Sinfornia Rotterdam. He performed for a.o. Radio 4 (his own compositions) and on Dutch television in De Wereld Draait Door and in Podium Witteman.
In 2013 he won the first prize at the Prinses Christina Concours Classical competition and the Composition competition with two of his own compositions. In 2015 he won the award for best accompaniment at the Prinses Christina Concours. Besides that he also won awards at the Pete de Grote Festival and Young Pianist Foundation Competition. With vocalist Noëlle Drost he won an award at the International Student LiedDuo Competition in 2022. With Pieternel Tils and Florianne Remme he performs in the Audax trio.
