Isabella Mancin Cattaneo
Isabella Mancin Cattaneo is a musician and flute player born in Italy. Before moving to Groningen in 2021, she studied flute at the Conservatorio G. Cantelli in Novara, where in 2019 she got her Bachelor degree and in 2021 the Master degree. During her years of studies in Italy she took part in many flute competitions where she won various awards such as the 1st prize at the “III Concorso Flautistico Nazionale” in Venezia, March 2019 and the 2nd prize at the “Xth International competition for young musicians” online edition, Città di Massa, March 2020. She also took part in different orchestral training courses and masterclasses by Michele Marasco, Mario Caroli, Felix Renggli, Maria Siracusa, Flavio Alziati and Gianni Biocotino. Since September 2021, she is attending the Master of Music in flute at Prins Claus Conservatoire where she specializes in chamber music. She also performed with surprising ensembles such as a trio for flute, marimba and vibraphone, and a duo for alto flute and trombone. At the same time, she cultivates her passion for teaching and she focus on orchestra playing.
