Hermitage kwartet

The Hermitage Quartet are Jacobien Rozemond (violin), Floor Le Coultre (violin), Francien Schatborn (viola) and Amber Docters van Leeuwen (cello).

Since 2015 the Hermitage Quartet is the festival quartet of the Peter de Grote Festival, performing the great and virtuoso string quartet repertoire. From year one the quartet was praised with a lot of enthusiasm: "Sharp as a knive and extremely exciting", the Dagblad van het Noorden wrote after their performance of Janaceks 'Intimate letters'. The last years the quartet also performs regularly on other stages and festival, for example on Emmy Verhey's chamber music festival. 

Jacobien and Francien both hold principal positions at the most well known ensembles of The Netherlands (Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Radio Philharmonisch Orkest) and have performed with many international star soloist in The Netherlands and abroad. Floor graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and has been awarded many prizes, and is very active as a chamber musician at various festivals. Amber, well known as prize winner of the Cellobiënnale 2008, is a popular performer, both in classical music as well as in theatre and pop music productions.
