Helikon Kwartet

The Helikon Quartet was formed in 2015 and is part of the Dutch String Quartet Academy since 2017. The quartet gives many concerts throughout The Netherlands. They have performed in the Recital Hall of the Royal Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (Amsterdam), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht) and Orpheus (Apeldoorn). They performed during the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht, Grachtenfestival and the String Quartet Biënnale Amsterdam. Also, they were guests on the national television and radio shows such as NTR Podium Witteman and Spiegelzaal AVROTROS. Recently the string quartet has received one of the string quartet stipendia awarded by Het Kersjesfonds.

The Helikon Quartet has been coached intensively by the Quatuor Danel in the past two years, as they were part of Rabo Next Stage, a coaching programme for young talent, organised by TivoliVredenburg. In 2016, the quartet received a scholarship to follow masterclasses in England with the Chilingirian Quartet. In 2017 the quartet took part as a guest ensemble at the European Chamber Music Academy.
