Giacomo Schmidt & Jong Sun Woo

Giacomo and Jong Sun, based in Berlin and London respectively, met during the auditions for Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie, as they were paired together by chance. It was clear from the first rehearsal that there was a special musical connection between them. They went on to become scholars of the Liedakademie 2021/2022 under the artistic guidance of Thomas Hampson and subsequently have performed during the Schubert Week at the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin and the Neuland Lied Festival in Heidelberg. This inspiring year together brought them closer together as duo partners and friends. They are looking forward to exploring the world of songs together for years to come.
