Elisa Maayeshi

Elisa first became acquainted with opera at the age of twelve when she sang in the children's choir of the opera Carmen by G. Bizet, which was performed by the music theater association La Mascotte in her hometown of Emmeloord. From then on, Elisa devoted herself to singing classical repertoire and in the years that followed, she played various roles for the same association, such as Edith in 'The Pirates of Penzance' by Gilbert and Sullivan (2017), Amaranthe in 'Clairette' by Charles Lecocq (2018), and Cupid in Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach (2019). In addition, Elisa developed her skills during the last three years of high school at the ArtEZ Conservatory, where she studied under Claudia Patacca. In 2019, she began her bachelor's degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she is studying under Sasja Hunnego. She has also attended masterclasses by Lenneke Ruiten and Ira Stiff and sang under the direction of Sir John Elliot Gardiner. Elisa loves nothing more than combining theater and music, and hopes to specialize in opera.
