Duo Dufonte

Duo Dufonte, founded in 2019, is a harp/flute duo consisting of Hedwig Brieffies on harp and Iara de Carvalho Perillo on flute. Both study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Erika Waardenburg (harp) and Marieke Schneemann (flute). As a duo, they have received masterclasses from Gwyneth Wentink, Miriam Overlach, and the Borealis Trio.

They regularly perform (lunchtime) concerts and participate in competitions as a duo. In January 2020, they won second prize at the Rosa Spier Harp Competition in the Ensemble category. With a broad repertoire—including works by Fauré, Bozza, and Piazzolla, as well as more modern pieces by composers such as Hendrik Andriessen and Marius Flothuis—they present music from different countries and time periods.
