Bruno Tobon

Cellist Bruno Tobon (Canada) studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under Denis Brott. This young cello talent is also an alumnus of the highly acclaimed New York String Orchestra Seminar at the Mannes School of Music. From 2012 to 2016, he was a member of the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Louis Lavigueur and performed as a soloist with various orchestras in Quebec, including the Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil. He has received multiple prestigious awards and merit-based scholarships for career development. Recently, he performed as a soloist with the Noord Nederlands Orkest (conducted by Jaques van Steen), where he played Schumann’s Cello Concerto, Op. 129, and received highly praised reviews.
