Amparo Lacruz

Amparo Lacruz studied at the Royal Superior Music Conservatory in Madrid with Pedro Corostola, at the Guildhall School in London with Stefan Popov and at the Chicago Roosevelt University with Kim Scholes.

As a member of Trio Kandinsky since 1999, she has performed at the main concert halls and festivals in Spain, France, England, Belgium, Italy, Finland, Norway, Chec Republic, Germany, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Perú, Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, China and Japan. Amparo has also collaborated with the Berlin Philarmonisches Streichquintett.

Recently, she has published in Columna Musica the complete recording of Bach’s Six Suites for cello solo. Her CDs “Winter in flames” (Sonatas de Chopin y Bridge) and “Brahms & Röntgen”, with the pianist Andreu Riera have also been acclaimed by the press.

She has given masterclasses at the Vivacelli Cello Festival in Seoul and  the Amsterdam Cello Biënnale, and at prestigious Universities of the United States (Boston University, Oberlin College, California State University and West Chester), Japan (Tokyo Kunitachi College), China (Shanghai Conservatory), Mexico (Las Rosas Conservatory) and Peru (Lima Conservatory).
