Amber Docters van Leeuwen
Cellist Amber Docters van Leeuwen (1984) graduated cum laude at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Manhattan School of Music with David Geber where she was awarded the President’s award and the Van Lier Award, a 'career advancing grant'.
In 2013 she worked with theatre director Bryan Davidson Blue for two of his works which have been performed at a.o. the historical Cherry Lane Theater in New York.
Since 2018 Amber is member of the Helix Trio and does a lot of crossover productions with musicians such as Sony artist Gabriel Rios, BMG artist Jonathan Jeremiah, pianist Jef Neve and composer/musician Eef van Breen.
Amber is the first prize winner of the Dutch National Cello Competition in 2008. She starred on concert stages throughout the world, such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
