Aitana Fernandez Herrero

Born in Santa Fe, Granada, where she began her cello studies with Orfilia Saiz Vega at the age of five. At the age of seven, she entered the "Ángel Barrios" Elementary Music Conservatory in Granada. She later moved to the Professional Conservatory of Music in Alicante "Guitarrista José Tomás", where she finished her studies with the highest qualifications. At the end of her professional studies, she obtained the Extraordinary Prizes
in both cello and chamber music. She has studied with Orfilia Saiz Vega, Antonio Ballester Corbí and Enrique Vidal. She is currently studying in the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen under Jan-Ype Nota's tutelage.

She has attended advanced courses with Aldo Mata and Javier Albarés at the “Curso Musical Valencia de Don Juan”, with Michal Dmochowski, who teaches at the Katarina Gurska superior school, at the Benidorm international music course, and with David Geringas in the Blackmore Academy. She has also attended masterclasses with Johannes Moser and Xavier Gagnepain.
She has been a member of the symphonic band “Unión Musical de Petrer” since 2016 and of the” Orquesta Filarmónica de la Universidad de Alicante” since 2021
